    SENIOR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

    Responsible for installation, repair and maintenance of production manufacturing equipment.

    FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot a wide variety of electrical equipment such as motors, motor generator sets, rectifiers, transformers, alarm and communication systems, machine and process controls, relays, circuit breakers, electronic devices, NC and production/manufacturing equipment.
    • Inspect equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties, per manufacturer's specifications.
    • Have a strong electrical/electronic background and mechanical experience.
    • Diagnose basic and some complex equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments efficiently.
    • Interpret and follow written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents.
    • Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.

     

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

    Demonstrated ability to:

    • Work under limited oversight.

    • Collaborate effectively with others to identify, schedule, and plan repairs, maintenance activities, and project work.

    • Manage work performed to ensure compliance with company safety and quality requirements

    • Experience with a forklift and other rigging equipment. Must and be proficient with moving large equipment.

    • Successful completion of formal training in a related field such as mechanical, facilities (carpentry, plumbing and HVAC), electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems or have equivalent experience.

    • Requires general knowledge of codes and regulations related to equipment and facilities.

    • Knowledge of shop math and precision measuring equipment.

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Use of protective clothing, goggles and other equipment to prevent injuries. Wearing a respirator may also be required.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing, and handling of material.

    • Ability to adapt to change in the workplace and shift priorities easily.
    • Must be able to use proper technique to lift 50 pounds
    • Must be capable of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods.
