    McKean is seeking a Material Management Specialist to support a Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) project. The Material Management Specialist to develop, order, track and store material purchases in support of repairing HM&E systems and equipment on Mayport based LCS platforms.

    The following tasks are representative of those that the contractor will produce and are considered most critical to successful completion of this task. These support requirements include but are not limited to:

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for ordering, tracking, stocking, and issuing repair parts, general supplies.
    • Maintain financial records, accounting systems and inventory databases for supplies in shore-based warehouse and ships' storerooms as appropriate.
    • Proper handling and management of hazardous materials.
    • Organize and maintaining databases, files, and reports. 
    • Verify configuration data

    Required Skills

    REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret Security clearance and be capable of obtaining a Common Access Card
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum of eight (8) years of general hands-on material management experience with US Navy HM&E equipment, including two (2) years on LCS HM&E equipment.
    • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Navy preventive maintenance program.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally

     PREFERRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

    • U.S. Navy Storekeeper
    • Exposure to Navy Maintenance and Logistics Database (3M, MSWP, NMD, SCLSIS, CCIMS, ICMP, etc.)
    • Familiar with HM&E Systems terms, functions and related databases
    • Experience working with databases and strong working knowledge of Excel.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND EXPECTATIONS:

    • Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent periods of prolonged sitting may be required.
    • Maneuvering around tight spaces in a shipboard environment
