    MDisrupt is an Austin, Texas based start-up company that is focused on developing a platform that connects digital health companies to scientists and healthcare industry experts to help them build, commercialize and scale their products faster and more responsibly. Our mission is to organize the world’s digital health products by performance, through clinically crowdsourced data generation.

    MDisrupt was founded by healthcare industry executive Ruby Gadelrab who has spent the last 24 years commercializing healthcare products. She previously served as the VP of Commercial Marketing for 23andMe and held other leadership roles, including Invitae and Life Technologies.

    JOB OVERVIEW

    The Summer Intern, Digital Health Product Assessment will contribute to MDisrupt’s efforts to categorize and evaluate Digital Health products.

    The ideal candidate is a self-starter with basic research skills and a passion for digital health and evidence-based medicine. The position provides an opportunity to delve into the digital health marketplace with an evidence-based research lens, working closely with healthcare industry veterans.  

    This is an 8 week, paid project with flexible location and hours.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and prioritize Digital Health product categories best suited for MDisrupt’s solution. 
    • Design and develop systematic literature review, identifications and data extractions of the scientific literature, and mixed treatment comparisons.
    • Design and execute Excel-based data entry of digital health information.
    • Present updates to the Executive Team, as requested.
    • Partner with other members of the clinical team on the overall project.

    • MET OR EXCEEDED DIGITAL HEALTH DATABASE DEVELOPMENT to drive insights and adoption of our healthcare intelligence products in the digital health market

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Knowledge of the digital health product development lifecycle 

    • Comfort with providing recommendations and solutions based on rigorous research and analysis underpinned by expertise and thought leadership

    • Natural curiosity and unstructured problem solving skills

    • A passion for healthcare, digital health data, analytics, and technology

    • Excellent organization and planning skills

    • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to inform and influence others

    • Analytic problem-solving skills, with an ability both to see the big picture and delve into details

    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, is a must

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Undergraduate studies in healthcare, digital health, genomics or related fields

    • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects to completion, prioritizing tasks and delivering on deadlines with high performance standards and attention to detail

    • Self-starter, leads with humility, and executes with minimal supervision

    • Contributes to our Diversity by Design culture

    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, adapt to change, and work well under pressure in an entrepreneurial environment

    • High level of computer proficiency in Google Product Suite

    • Proficiency with system tools such as Microsoft Office, Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace & productivity apps.

    • Must be able to work independently & collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    • Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to support a wide variety of projects in a fast-paced environment will be essential to this role.
