Job Description

The candidate will provide support to business litigation attorney and paralegal.

Essential job requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess well-developed administrative, organizational, and teamwork skills, have a high level of initiative, excellent judgment and attention to detail, and will take pride in their work.

Duties:

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel and court personnel.
• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, correspondence and memorandum for attorneys.
• Calendar litigation deadlines.
• Prepare shell pleadings.
• Generate TOA/TOC.
• State and Federal e-filing experience.
• Assist with scheduling and preparation for meetings, depositions, hearings, mediations, trials and other proceedings.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Pleasant and professional demeaner.
• Prior litigation legal secretary experience.
• Accuracy in grammar, spelling and punctuation and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Self-starter with ability to work on one's own, as well as in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe. Familiarity with Clio a plus.
• Familiarity with civil procedure relating to pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial

• Remote work schedule is available.

20-30 hours per week.
