We are looking for a skilled and organized Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. You will perform clinical tasks, including taking medical histories in EMR, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting the providers during examinations/biopsies/surgeries.

Please note this position is a full time 36 hr/4 day work week

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare patient for exam room by recording history as reported by the individual

• Assist the providers during exams and biopsies as needed

• Perform all tasks according to law and compassionate-care standards

• Sterilize equipment and follow legal and proper protocol for disposal of medical instruments and waste to ensure a healthy environment for patients and employees

• Stock exam rooms and maintain all records for storage and equipment, such as refrigeration logs, specimen pickup and pathology reports

• Seek continuing education as certification requires

• Communicate with pharmacies, patients and physician regarding prescription information, refills and prior authorizations

Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills

• Excellent communication skills

• EMR experience helpful

• "Can do" attitude a must
