About the Role
We are actively hiring a full-time Associate Professor of Nursing to serve as a Medical Instructor and member of our Higher Education Nursing Faculty at our Rochester, NY campus. This is a fully in-person faculty position requiring on-campus instruction in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
The selected candidate will function as a senior-level higher education nursing faculty member, preparing pre-licensure nursing students for clinical practice and NCLEX success. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN, Nurse Educator, or Medical Instructor seeking long-term growth in higher education.

Key Responsibilities
Nursing Instruction & Classroom Teaching
Serve as a lead Medical Instructor delivering in-person nursing education in classroom, lab, and clinical environments
Teach courses such as Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Health Assessment, Pharmacology, and Patient-Centered Care
Develop and implement lesson plans, course syllabi, learning objectives, and competency-based evaluations
Evaluate student performance through exams, clinical evaluations, simulations, and skills check-offs
Prepare nursing students for NCLEX-RN success through evidence-based instruction
Higher Education Faculty Leadership
Function as a core member of the higher education nursing faculty, providing academic advising and professional mentorship
Support student retention, progression, and graduation outcomes
Maintain consistent office hours and on-campus availability
Mentor adjunct faculty and clinical preceptors
Participate in faculty governance and academic committees
Curriculum Development & Accreditation
Collaborate with nursing faculty leadership on curriculum development and program improvement
Participate in accreditation preparation, regulatory compliance, and academic assessment processes
Contribute to program evaluation and student learning outcomes reporting
Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) – Required
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License – Required
Current AHA BLS Certification
Clinical nursing experience required
Prior experience as a Medical Instructor, Nurse Educator, Nursing Faculty Member, or Associate Professor preferred
Higher education teaching experience strongly preferred
Work Environment
100% On-Site / In-Person role in Rochester, NY
15–20 instructional hours per week
