    Job Summary

    Absolute Elder Care is a geriatric focused Mobile Physician Group providing Primary Care Services to patients in Assisted Living Facilities, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and Private Residences across North and Central Florida.

    We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Office Assistant to work in our Ocala, Florida office. This position is responsible for ensuring smooth and seamless office operations by providing various administrative and clerical functions to our providers, patients, and partners in the community.

    Responsibilities

    · Clerical duties such as copying, e-mail, and faxing

    · Answering/responding to incoming calls from outside agencies, insurance companies, staff, and consumers ensuring the callers needs are met

    · Communicate effectively in written and oral form

    · Ensure diagnostic test results are uploaded to the correct chart upon receipt

    · Accurately process new patient demographics and insurance information

    · Communicate with family members of patients via phone to ensure correct information

    · Obtain patient information as directed by providers from other agencies

    · Obtain patient laboratory results and recent medication sheet from their PCP

    · Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills

    · Adhere to all HIPAA requirements including maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information

    Qualifications

    · High school diploma/GED or equivalent required

    · Experience navigating in Electronic Health Records. Familiarity of eClinical Works a plus

    · Basic understanding of the health insurance authorization process

    · Proficient in Microsoft Office products; Excel, Word, TEAMS

    · Experience in a healthcare facility, clinical experience, or clinical education is a must

    · Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent preferred but not required

    · Experience as a medical office assistant or CNA/equivalent preferred but not required

    · Must be able to read, write, and speak English

    · Must have reliable transportation
