Position Summary
CereCore is seeking to hire a detail-oriented contractor to support operational and financial processes related to procedure code management, chargemaster integrity, and reporting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate procedure code setup, compliance with internal guidelines, and timely coordination with Financial Operations for approvals. The contractor will work closely with clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders to support system updates, data quality, and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Review generated system queues related to procedure code and chargemaster activity; identify discrepancies and make appropriate corrections to maintain data integrity.
- Submit new procedure code requests for MT 5.6 in accordance with established governance, documentation, and approval standards.
- Validate procedure code details, including descriptions, billing attributes, and effective dates, to ensure accuracy prior to submission.
- Assist with ongoing maintenance of procedure codes and chargemaster data, including updates, retirements, and corrections as needed.
- Partner with Financial Operations and other stakeholders to obtain required financial approvals for new or updated procedure codes.
- Ensure all supporting documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with financial and compliance requirements.
- Track approval status and follow up as needed to support timely implementation.
- Support reporting activities by validating source data, reconciling discrepancies, and assisting with report preparation.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools to analyze data, identify trends, and ensure reporting accuracy.
- Assist with ad hoc data requests related to procedure codes, chargemaster changes, and financial impact analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, and IT to support end-to-end procedure code workflows.
- Communicate clearly and professionally regarding issues, corrections, and status updates.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation, and data quality related to procedure code and chargemaster management.
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license (US based).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic data analysis, validation, and reporting functions.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow defined processes and guidelines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Experience supporting procedure code management, chargemaster maintenance, or related healthcare revenue cycle functions. (preferred)
- Familiarity with MT 5.6 or similar healthcare information systems. (preferred)
- Experience working with financial approvals, documentation, or compliance-related workflows. (preferred)
- Prior experience supporting reporting or data validation activities in a healthcare setting. (preferred)
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited U.S. school of pharmacy required.
