Trueline is seeking a MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Project Engineer to join their team in New Haven, CT. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring seamless integration of MEP systems with architectural and civil designs, overseeing installations from review through commissioning.
What You'll Do as the MEP Project Engineer:
- Review and interpret architectural, civil, and MEP drawings to develop coordinated installation plans
- Collaborate with design teams to adapt MEP solutions based on evolving site conditions
- Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and change order evaluations
- Supervise on-site installation, testing, commissioning, and quality assurance of MEP systems
- Perform site inspections to maintain safety and compliance with local codes and standards
- Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support during construction phases
- Prepare and present progress updates, technical documentation, and final project reports
MEP Project Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- At least 5 years of MEP project engineering experience on construction sites
- Strong ability to interpret multidisciplinary design drawings and specifications
- Solid project management skills, including software proficiency
- Excellent communication and collaborative problem?solving abilities
Nice to Haves as the MEP Project Engineer:
- Experience working closely with architectural and civil engineering teams
- Familiarity with local New Haven building codes and commissioning processes
- PMP or relevant professional certification
