Open Service Position: MEP Service Operations Coordinator/Estimator
Ideal Candidate: Extensive HVAC knowledge with quoting experience, The ability to engage and communicate to Customers, The personality to work well within a team and promote a family type environment, and the ability to drive growth with a closing sales mentality.
Key Job Functions:
· 30% Quoting & Invoicing All (3) trades - with specific HVAC background knowledge
o Ability to gather necessary information to produce a quote
o Cleanup/Edit technician trip reports
o Coaching technicians to build professional trip reports that customers understand
o Sending out quotes through BuildOps
o Quoting what the customer is asking for along with options
o Communicating quote & scope of work to customer
o Following up and closing the loop on ALL quotes
o Selling Scout MEP
o Reviewing the initial estimate and ensuring that we are invoicing accurately and timely.
· 30% Internal & External Communication
o Have to be able to communicate effectively with Dispatch & Technicians:
§ Communicating the “why are we doing what we’re doing” – for each job
§ Gathering detailed info to pass to customers
§ Problem Solving as problems/challenges arise: troubleshooting and technical support for the technicians/front office
o Have to be able to communicate effectively with Customers:
§ Clearly communicating the estimate with scope of work details
§ Clearly communicating challenges during the job or cost savings during the job
§ Keeping a calm manor and de-escalating customer issues
§ Understanding where we could improve our customer service experience
§ Communicating customer praise to our team internally
§ Communicating our value to our customers
· 25% Procure Equipment & Materials
o Proper planning and accurate equipment/material lists
o Equipment delivery & staging
o Handling crane logistics when necessary
o Vendor relationships
o Inventory Management
· 15% Job Site Visits
o Making job site visits when necessary: to gather information, troubleshoot, client interface, or quality control
