MEP Superintendent — Power the Systems Behind Reno's Landmark Arena

    Reno, NV | Full-Time | $150,000 – $200,000+ DOE | Relocation assistance available

    The Opportunity

An arena is really thousands of systems pretending to be one building — HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, life safety — all packed into complex spaces and impossible sequences. Our client, a nationally recognized heavy commercial GC known for the West's most recognizable hospitality, gaming, entertainment, and public projects, is hiring an MEP Superintendent to lead every one of those systems on a large-scale arena in Reno. From rough-in through commissioning and owner turnover, the building's nervous system is yours.

    Why This One Stands Out

    • Signature project: A state-of-the-art venue that will anchor the region for decades
    • Top-tier pay: $150K–$200K+ with relocation assistance and excellent benefits
    • Complexity that keeps you sharp: BIM-driven coordination and multi-trade sequencing at arena scale
    • Long-term home: Deep backlog, strong promote-from-within culture, fast interview process

    What You'll Do

    • Lead all field operations for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and specialty systems
    • Coordinate daily activities of MEP subcontractors and trade partners
    • Drive pull planning, look-ahead schedules, and coordination meetings; monitor manpower and production rates
    • Review drawings, specs, and shop drawings; resolve field conflicts before they hit the schedule
    • Oversee inspections, testing, startup, and commissioning
    • Lead BIM-driven installation and clash resolution
    • Sequence MEP work with structural, architectural, and specialty trades
    • Coordinate procurement and delivery of critical equipment and long-lead materials
    • Support turnover activities and owner training
    • Enforce safety standards through site walks, observations, and subcontractor compliance

    What You'll Bring

    • 7+ years as an MEP Superintendent, MEP Field Manager, or Senior MEP Foreman in commercial construction
    • Large-scale commercial MEP management experience; arena, stadium, hospitality, casino, convention center, airport, healthcare, or entertainment venue work strongly preferred
    • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, controls, and building automation
    • Proven multi-trade coordination in highly complex environments
    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • GC-side experience preferred
