POSITION OVERVIEW:

MERS/ Goodwill is looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Accounting team. The Retail Sales Accountant is responsible for for the daily, monthly and year end account analysis and reconciliations. This person will work closely with the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll departments to ensure overall financial statement accuracy. The Retail Sales Account will assist the CFO in month-end closing and completion of the annual budget. This position will ensure all agency policies and procedures are followed.

PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE

• Coordinates, prepares and verifies supporting documentation to ensure accurate and timely month end reporting.
• General ledger responsibility ensuring journal entries are properly supported and accurately recorded
• Reviews and prepares monthly account analysis for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with completion of month-end, annual budget and year end audit.
• Assist the CFO, Controller and GH in coordination and completion of all key performance indicators for daily, monthly and annual reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS/BA in Accounting
• 3-years of relevant accounting / auditing work experience is preferred
• CPA Certification is preferred.
