  • Responsibilities

    Our client is hiring for an MES Engineer to design, implement, and support state-of-the-art manufacturing execution systems for regulated manufacturing environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on project work, client interaction, and seeing solutions go live in production.

    You’ll work primarily with Emerson Syncade MES, along with Bio-G scheduling platforms and Plantweb Optics/Analytics, supporting both new implementations and lifecycle support for existing customer systems.

    What You’ll Do

    • Collaborate with customers to analyze requirements and define MES functional designs
    • Configure, implement, test, and troubleshoot Syncade MES solutions, including:
    • Recipes & workflows
    • Equipment management
    • Materials management
    • Document management
    • Reporting & data configuration
    • Develop project and validation documentation, including test scripts for regulated environments
    • Support system start-up, commissioning, and site acceptance activities
    • Provide aftermarket and lifecycle support, including system updates, enhancements, and small expansion projects
    • Work independently at customer sites and as part of a collaborative project team
    • Travel within NC, SC, and VA (~25%)

    What We’re Looking For

    Required:

    • U.S. Citizenship
    • Demonstrated interest in software engineering and automation systems
    • Strong communication skills and customer-facing professionalism
    • Ability to work independently and manage assigned scope
    • Valid driver’s license

    Education / Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Computer Science, or related field)
    • 2+ years of relevant experience
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

    Preferred Experience:

    • MES experience (Emerson Syncade preferred; PAS-X or similar accepted)
    • Understanding of regulated / validated systems
    • Object-oriented programming exposure (XML, SQL, VBScript, web services)
    • Knowledge of ISA-95 / ISA-88 models
    • Basic networking fundamentals
    • .NET or related technologies

    $90,000-$140,000 per year
