We are a factory warranty repair station for most major manufacturers of welding and related equipment.     Position Summary: As an Accounting/Bookkeeper at Metroplex, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and a keen attention to detail.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
    • Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices, obtaining approvals, and making timely payments.
    • Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
    • Maintain organized and efficient financial records, both electronically and in hard copy.
    • Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and implementing best practices in accounting procedures.
    • Provide support in other finance-related tasks and projects as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting and accounts payable.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of relevant tax regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
    • CPA certification or progress toward it is a plus.
