SUMMARY OF ROLE:

Join the financial backbone of MFUSED, a leading Cannabis company, as an Accounting Specialist. This crucial role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing payables and receivables, and ensuring banking compliance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, but other duties may be assigned):

• Process payables for all MFUSED entities and accurately record them in QuickBooks Online.
• Maintain and review email inboxes for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Record all customer sales in QuickBooks Online and apply customer payments accurately.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and reporting requirements for relevant MFUSED entities.
• Keep accurate records of customer receivable balances and follow up with customers on payment status.
• Maintain records of customer cash and check payments.
• Coordinate the secure pickup of cash payments through 3rd-party transport services.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and maintain proper documentation.
• Embrace additional responsibilities as experience grows.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• None required. CPA or CFA certification is advantageous.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting or a related position.

COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES):

• Strong foundation in accounting principles.
• Exceptional analytical skills.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Hub Spot (preferred), and AP automation software (e.g., Stampli).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational habits.
• Adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Comfortable working in an office environment for 40+ hours per week.
• Comfortable handling and interacting with marijuana and THC-based products.
• May occasionally be required to transport significant amounts of cash.
