Job Summary :
The duties and responsibilities of the Beautician is to provide beauty and hair care services to the residents.
Education: High School or equivalent
Licensure: Texas Cosmetology License
Experience: 6 months experience in a senior or hospital setting preferred
Skills: Good interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills Transportation: Ability to ensure timely arrival or stable transportation.
_ Essential Functions:_
Effectively and respectfully communicates with residents, family members, and visitors.
Verifies the identification of residents to assure services are provided to correct person.
Conducts shampoos, conditionings, style sets, color-rinses, permanent waves, and haircuts for residents.
Documents services rendered as well as reason if services were not rendered as scheduled.
Recognizes and responds to adverse condition changes of residents and / or emergency situations.
Documents all charges and totals daily tickets.
Promotes independence of residents’ decisions when it comes to beauty and hair.
Communicates with teammates at all levels to adequately meet the needs of the residents.
Promotes the organizational philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
Performs other assignments as requested.
Establishes and encourages an atmosphere of optimism, warmth, and interest in residents’ activity preferences and needs.
