Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in providing high-quality care to our residents. The LPN will play a crucial role in supporting our residents' health and well-being, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities:
Resident Care:
- Assess the physical and emotional needs of residents and create care plans based on their individual requirements.
- Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
- Monitor vital signs, report any changes in health status to the healthcare team, and document all observations accurately.
Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with residents, their families, and healthcare providers. Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including resident assessments, care plans, and medication administration records.
- Report incidents, accidents, and any unusual occurrences promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including registered nurses, physicians, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care. Assist in the development and implementation of care plans.
-Respond to emergencies and ensure residents' safety.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations governing nursing care in assisted living.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to residents and their families.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid LPN license in [State].
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to resident care.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations for assisted living facilities.
