Scheduler for Assited Living

The Rivers at Maryland Farms is a vibrant and compassionate assisted living community committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an our clinical staffing Scheduler.

Job Description:

As a Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless delivery of care services to our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:

· Scheduling and Coordination: Develop and maintain an effective and efficient schedule for care managers, and nurses ensuring optimal coverage and alignment with resident needs.

· Responsible for finding coverage for open shifts due to call offs, PTO requests, or open positions. May have to be flexible and cover shifts for care managers if unable to find coverage. 6a-2p, 2p-10p, 10p-6am.

· Participation and contribution to assisted living orientation for Wellness new hires as relates to understanding scheduling, where to find the schedule, how to request time off and/or swap shifts.

· May provide assistance with the following ADLs/IADLs:

a. Personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, hair care, shaving, skin care)

b. Change bed linens and make bed

c. Toileting and Incontinent Care

d. Nutritional and fluid intake

e. Dressing

f. Ambulation and transfers

g. Positioning

h. Medication reminders

i. Other duties as assigned within scope of practice

· Follows the resident’s ISP as directed. Follows the daily task sheets developed for each resident.

· Communicates with the appropriate supervisor about changes in the resident’s status

· Facilitate clear communication between care managers, residents, and other staff members to ensure everyone is well-informed about care plans and schedules.

· Respond to changes in resident care needs and staff availability promptly, adjusting schedules as necessary while maintaining a high standard of care.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care schedules, staff assignments, and any changes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

· Work closely with the care management team, nursing staff, and other departments to foster a collaborative and supportive environment.

· Identify and address scheduling conflicts, staffing shortages, and other issues to ensure the smooth operation of daily care services.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in scheduling or coordination, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting(CNA preferred but not required).

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.

- Proficient in using scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
