Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Memory Care Activity Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with seniors, especially those with memory impairments, and will play a key role in planning and implementing activities that enhance residents' cognitive, emotional, and physical well-being.

Responsibilities:

- Plan and facilitate a variety of engaging activities tailored to the needs and interests of residents in the Memory Care unit.

- Collaborate with the Memory Care team to assess residents' preferences, abilities, and cognitive levels to create personalized activity plans.

- Assist residents in participating in activities, providing encouragement and support as needed.

- Maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere during activities, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

- Document residents' participation and behavior during activities, providing feedback to the Memory Care team as needed.

- Assist in coordinating special events and outings for Memory Care residents.

- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.

-Driving the bus for scenic drives and outings

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in activities coordination, gerontology, or a related field is a plus.

- Previous experience working with seniors, especially those with memory impairments.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to be patient, compassionate, and understanding in challenging situations.

- Creativity and a passion for developing and implementing engaging activities.

- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of residents and the Memory Care program.
