Job Description

MI Logistics is seeking a full-time Freight Desk Coordinator CSR to join our team! You will be responsible for working with carriers to schedule pickups, ensure proper billing, track shipments, as well as, assisting customers by quoting, entering shipments into our TMS system, tracking, and providing solutions for transportation challenges. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with trucking company owners, dispatchers and drivers to quote, book, and coordinate customer shipments.
• Answer incoming calls and deliver excellent customer service.
• Handle customer inquiries.
• Track & trace shipments and resolve any problems that arise during transit.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues and concerns.
• Document and update customer records upon request.
• Develop and maintain a knowledge base of customer specific SOPs.
• Work within various web & cloud based platforms.
• Handle all requests from management and ownership.

​QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in customer service, sales, or other related fields is highly preferred.
• Ability to build rapport with clients.
• Ability to handle a fast paced work environment.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Proficient computer skills and capable of navigating and working in our cloud based platforms and TMS system.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING APPLICANTS THAT ARE LOCAL TO THE CHARLOTTE AREA DUE TO THE ON-SITE TRAINING REQUIREMENTS.  ONCE ADEQUATELY TRAINED THE TEAM MEMBER CAN SHIFT TO WORKING REMOTELY.  TRAINING DURATION WILL BE A MINIMUM OF 6 MONTHS ON SITE.
