    Job Description – Production Manager

    Job Overview:

    As a production manager, your job is multifaceted. You are a self-motivated team player

    that is fueled by working to the highest standard applicable. You understand the value

    of working on the right team and are actively looking for a company to partner with in

    your journey for growth and success. You will be responsible for overseeing our

    production shop and managing all of our self-performed carpentry work on projects.

    Follow-up and open communication with all parties involved in project is absolutely

    imperative and required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Utilize experience and knowledge to implement, build, fabricate, and

    install projects in a professional manner and to the highest standard possible.

    • Constantly be looking for ways to efficiently and effectively complete a

    project or task.

    • Be able to see tasks and projects from a “30,000 FT View” – anticipate

    future needs, milestones, and completion dates, and work with those in mind.

    • Ability to read blueprints, understand vision and intent of prints, and

    provide the best solution based off of the prints.

    • Actively and effectively problem solve to provide the BEST solutions to the

    everyday problems that arise on job sites.

    • Assist in developing an accurate proposal and estimate for projects.

    • Assist in design elements of the job to make the client’s vision a reality

    when needed

    • Create, manage, and update a detailed schedule for work that will be

    distributed to all parties involved with the project, ensure project stays on

    schedule and meets deadlines.

    • Attend project progress meetings.

    • Coordinate with Project Manager & Superintendent to order and schedule

    delivery of all necessary materials, identify long-lead time items and ensure they

    are procured in a timely manner.

    • Trouble-shoot and identify construction problems; offer timely and safe

    solutions.

    • Help continue to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures

    (“SOP’s”) for all scopes and aspects of work.

    • Prevent fines and interruptions by complying with and enforcing codes and

    safety programs.

    • Ability to look critically at craftsmanship and anticipate problems.

    • Track any Change Orders issued and ensure they are documented and

    transmitted to all necessary parties.

    • Utilize our cabinetry design software (KCD) to draw up any and all

    cabinetry orders for projects. Ensure no errors in field measurements and design

    measurements, utilize and develop shop standards and SOP’s within the

    program to comply with company standards.

    • Create complete material lists and orders for projects, anticipating

    long-lead time items and ordering accordingly.

    • Create and track production schedules for fabrication and installation

    • Follow-up and create a final ‘punch list’ before close-out of project to

    ensure completion of work. Our goal is that there is no punch list given to us by

    the clients themselves at the close of a project.

    • Overall, maintain a well-run, clean, organized, and efficient project.

    Prerequisites:

    • Have expert knowledge with how to utilize the capabilities of a smart

    phone (preferably iPhone).

    • Experience/ability to quickly learn how to utilize Slack, ProCore, Dropbox,

    and Google applications for efficiency and communication.

    • Efficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel primarily) & email

    communication (Gmail).

    • Provide your own ‘hand tools’ for your own personal use on job site.

    General examples are: Tape measure, hammer/prybar, battery-powered hand

    tools, drill bits, chisels, screwdrivers, etc.

    • Valid State driver’s license.

    • Willing to undergo a background & drug test.

    • Dress Code: Overall appearance needs to be well-kept and professional.

    No holes or large stains in clothing, no vulgar or offensive statements on clothing.

    Goals:

    • Expand our cabinetry business and shop into new markets

    • Help develop and document company-wide SOP’s to promote efficiency

    and eliminate errors.
