Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable MIG/TIG Welder to join our team. This position is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication on metal components and assemblies in a production or fabrication environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical welding abilities, experience reading blueprints, and a commitment to precision, safety, and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum materials.
• Fabricate and assemble metal components according to blueprints and work orders.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols.
• Set up welding machines and select proper welding techniques based on material type and thickness.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting prior to welding.
• Ensure proper weld penetration, alignment, and structural integrity.
• Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety guidelines and properly use required PPE.
• Assist with additional fabrication or shop duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational welding training preferred.
• 2+ years of MIG and TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy basics, and material preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Experience working with steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum.
• Comfortable using hand tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality welds.
• AWS certification or equivalent is a plus.
