Welder (MIG) – 1st & 2nd Shift Available
**Job Summary
**The Welder is responsible for performing manual MIG welding of production parts while maintaining required quality and production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role for individuals who take pride in producing quality welds, following standard work, and contributing to a safe, efficient operation. Weekly pay is offered.
Primary Responsibilities
- Load and position components into weld fixtures and weld parts together using MIG welding methods and standardized work instructions
- Perform dimensional inspections (final gauge, bend gauge, hand-held gauges, etc.) to verify product quality
- Maintain accurate counts of completed parts and meet daily production goals
- Follow production flow systems such as Kanban and maintain proper material movement
- Record and properly dispose of defective product according to established procedures
- Visually inspect welds and parts for defects in accordance with quality standards
- Check safety controls and welding equipment before starting work
- Apply quality practices including first-piece inspections and self-checks
- Report defects, quality concerns, or equipment issues promptly to the appropriate personnel
- Pack finished parts into designated containers following labeling and packing instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company work rules, safety policies, and procedures
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in equipment and facility upkeep, including cleaning and light maintenance as assigned
- Support team initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Move materials, supplies, and finished goods manually or with a hand truck as needed
- Suggest and assist with process and quality improvement ideas when possible
- Perform other general production or operator duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience and/or certification in MIG welding
- Ability to perform MIG welding tasks on production lines while meeting quality and productivity standards
- Basic equipment maintenance skills, including replacing consumable welding components
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math, reading, and communication skills
- Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and reliability
- Dependable attendance and solid work history
