Milbern Ray is a family owned full service CPA firm that has been in business for 50 years, and is located

in Southlake. We handle a wide array of complex tax matters and all levels of financial reporting

needed. We are currently seeking a full time Accountant with tax experience to join our dynamic team.

What we are looking for:

Preparing tax return forms 1040, 1120, 1120s, 1065 for clients.

Experience in preparing multi state tax returns for business clients.

Bookkeeping skills to help in preparing Financial Statements for clients that require statements

on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.

Review bank reconciliations (monthly or quarterly), review general ledger transactions, make

adjustments as needed, update fixed assets software to assist in the preparation of business tax

returns.

An understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and good communication skills

with clients.

Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve tax

advice and assisting client inquiries

Must be teachable with a positive attitude and be a team player.

Experience working in a public accounting firm is a plus.

Experience with CCH Prosystem fx tax and CCH Prosystems fx Engagement accounting programs

is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree; in Accounting preferred.

CPA Certification preferred but not required.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Overtime hours are required from January 15th to April 15th , with straight overtime paid for the

additional hours worked.
