Job Summary
We are seeking a Funeral Attendant to join our team! As a Funeral Attendant, you will be responsible for assisting the team in creating a calming, healing environment by maintaining a clean storefront and chapel, setting up or breaking down chairs, tables, and podiums, and maintaining on-site equipment. You may also assist with transportation, escort vehicles, and run essential errands to and from doctors' offices or The Office of Vital Statistics. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and customer service skills, the ability to multitask, and can maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism, in respect for our profession.
Responsibilities
Maintain a professional, clean working environment
Answer the phone, assist customers with questions, and direct them to the appropriate line or person
Conduct basic maintenance or upkeep of equipment
Assist the funeral director and other team members in setup of services
Run errands or complete small tasks outside of the funeral home, as needed
Qualifications
Strong customer service skills
The ability to multitask and shift priorities, as needed
Must be able to maintain a strong professional appearance and demeanor
