The Behavioral Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous member care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to ensure the success of our members.
Position requires working weekend shifts
Behavioral Health Technician Responsibilities:
Implement the daily structure for our members, facilitate group discussions, ADL’s
Complete progress notes and brief notes on members prior to end of shift
Perform Crisis intervention, de-escalation and re-direction
Create Incident, Death or Accident (IAD) reports
Create Emergency Safety Response (ESR) reports
Medication Management and Medication Administration for members
Provide a safe and secure environment for our members through therapeutic supervision and actively participate in scheduled events and activities
Provide positive role modeling which is consistent/compatible with the philosophy and beliefs of Miss A’s House
Establish positive professional relationships with the members to identify positive strengths within the members and enhance positive change
Help members identify the purpose behind their behaviors, what triggers the behaviors, and explore healthy and effective alternatives to deal with needs in daily encounters with members
Assist members and actively participate with them in daily activities to achieve their treatment objectives as outlined in their treatment plan, in a culturally sensitive and strengths-based manner
Transport members to appointments and outings
Create and maintain responsibility charts to assist in members meeting short-term and long-term goals
Assist members in selecting appropriate and successful coping skills fitting to their treatment plan
Assist members and actively participate in daily tasks, such as cleaning rooms, homework, physical activities, meals, laundry, responsibility sheets, community service, and outings
Flexibility in schedule and team player
Requires working rotating weekends
Qualifications/Experience:
Minimum High School diploma or GED
Previous work with children/teens
Requirements
Must be at least 21 years old
Valid AZ drivers’ license or ID
CPI and/or Prevention and Support (Can obtain after hire)
Fingerprint Clearance Card
Negative TB Test
Hands on CPR and First Aid (Can obtain after hire)
Continuous training with Relias (Can obtain after hire)
Sexualized Maladaptive Behavior training (Can obtain after hire)
Blood-borne Pathogens (Can obtain after hire)
Continuous training for job / skill development
