  • Responsibilities

    At MIT45 Manufacturing we specialize in the formulation and manufacturing of quality supplements in the forms of liquids, powders, capsules, and gummies. The Sanitation Technician role will assist in the cleaning, sanitation, and sanitation verification of all areas and equipment within the production facilities; ensuring quality standards are met at every turn. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of facility sanitation at any given time. This role will work five 8-hour shifts Sunday thru Friday, from 9:30am - 6:00pm. This role will also be responsible for both our Orem and American Fork Production facility

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    ● The Sanitation Technician will be responsible for carrying out plant cleaning, sanitation, regulatory requirements, sanitation policies and procedures

    ● Ensures compliance of company policies and procedures, safety regulations, GMP's, SOP's, SSOP's, & HACCP.

    ● Facilitates problem resolution related to sanitation and quality issues

    ● Carries out day to day operations of sanitation

    ● Ensures proper storage of maintenance and cleaning chemicals and that they are properly labeled and segregated according to cGMPs and employee authorization.

    ● Eliminates sources of foreign material that could wind up in the product by maintaining cleanliness of forklifts, pallet wrappers, transition areas between rooms, warehouse racking, floor to ceiling fixtures in areas outside production rooms, etc

    ● Provides support for all safety and environmental initiatives

    ● Perform other related duties as required

    ● Ensure sanitation, safety and good manufacturing practices (GMPs) are followed

    ● Report any safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action

    ● Follow all chemical training and safety programs and make inputs for procedures as needed.

    ● Responsible for cleaning all machines inside the extruder room, all floor areas inside the extruder room, all overheads, walkways and shelving in the extruder room and any assigned projects for the extruder room.

    ● Keep logs of all completed tasks and titrations and place them in designated areas when complete.

    ● Complete walkthrough with supervisor as to levels of clean needing to be reached weekly. This will be consistent and change until the highest standard is reached.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    ● Very high attention to detail and organization

    ● Fluent in English, if you have strong Spanish speaking skills it’s a bonus

    ● Strong Verbal and Written Communication skills

    ● Ability to work off-shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays) as needed

    ● 1-2 years of cleaning and sanitation experience

    ● High School Diploma or equivalent required

    ● Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require

    ● General knowledge of sanitation equipment used in manufacturing areas

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced. Other physical requirements include frequent squatting, bending, twisting, and bi-lateral wrist movement.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT Work environment can be humid and warm depending on equipment being used for the day.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    The employee is often required to stand or sit for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Employee may be required to lift 10-50 lbs at times.
