Work from Home : This position is VIRTUAL. The candidate can work remotely but they MUST live within 100 miles of Lexington so that they can come into the Lab if necessary for the needs of the program. The onsite work will NOT be regular.
Clearance: An interim clearance is sufficient for the start of this position.
Interview Process: 1st round interview will be a Zoom with the hiring manager. 2nd round interview will be a Zoom with additional team members as needed.
Background/NeedAn Enterprise Collaboration and Web Services (ECWS) system administrator team provides enterprise application support and maintenance for the Laboratory. ECWS is looking for a system administrator with skillset in the administration of Apache based systems, including deploying and maintaining application infrastructure, with a focus on Generative AI technologies. This person will also have solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Other information relevant to the job requirement? Required skills:
•Proven experience in deploying and maintaining application infrastructure, with a focus on Generative AI technologies.
•Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
•Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
•Experience with DevOps practices and tools for automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
•Passion for AI and machine learning, with a desire to stay updated on the latest advancements and trends in the field.
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience

•Experience with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark) and big data technologies.
