    TITLE:                                          Concrete Flatwork Finisher Foreman

    LOCATION:                                   Working on jobsites between Medford OR & Seattle WA, with 70% of the work being in the Portland Oregon Metro area

    COMPENSATION:                          $60 per hour with benefits

                                                      Paid relocation

    REPORTS TO:                               Construction Manager

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES – POSITION PURPOSE:

    Lead composite crew in setup, placing and finishing of concrete flatwork projects including high production curbs, sidewalk and ada ramps.

    As we are now experiencing a high demand for our industrial concrete and road improvement projects that involve a significant amount of ADA and sidewalk work, we are looking for concrete flatwork professionals to add to our jobsite foreman positions. We also welcome candidates with other heavy civil experience to apply as we continue to have these projects as well.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    6 yrs or more experience in concrete trades  

    • 3 yrs or more prior experience managing crews
    • 3 yrs or more experience reading and interpreting plans, specifications, survey stakes
    • Ability to create and edit a weekly look ahead schedule
    • Able to professionally communicate with craftworkers, management and clients
    • Prior experience using HCSS Heavy Job or other electronic daily recordkeeping tools
    • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions and decimals
    • Valid Driver's license
    • Pervious concrete certifications
    • ACI concrete finisher certifications

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Understand, follow and enforce company safety rules

    • Assist estimating with pricing labor, equipment and materials during bid phase

    • Code all jobsite receipts to proper budget codes

    • Keep timecard for crews with quantities of work installed on daily basis

    • Recognize changes to the scope of work or contract and notify project manager

    • Prepare and conduct weekly tool box safety talks & daily job hazard analysis

    • Provide layout (line & grade) for crewmembers and inspect their work for accuracy and quality

    • Model a positive and professional attitude for crew

    • Provide ongoing coaching, training and discipline when needed to crew members
