  • Responsibilities

    The Materials Planner is responsible for managing all material related Planning activities needed to meet pre-clinical, early to late phase clinical, commercial, and process development manufacturing requirements.

    The Materials Planner role is critical to our patients as this individual will coordinate and improve the material planning function through the implementation of planning best practices and the full utilization of an ERP system. The Materials Planner will ensure that all Manufacturing requirements are met and on-schedule.

    The Role:

    • Execute material requirements planning for multiple manufacturing sites and multiple products.
    • Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
    • Execute / monitor MRP calculations and messages.
    • Drive maximum utilization of the ERP system for all MRP functions and inventory control.
    • Coordinate production, inventory management, and procurement activities by partnering with the Master Scheduler, Manufacturing, Materials Control, and Project Management.
    • Work with Supply Chain to develop and implement inventory and planning strategies to support both MRP and non-MRP activities (i.e. reorder point planning, Kanban programs, safety stock demand planning, ABC categorization, etc.).

    The Candidate:

    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • 4 or more years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or planning. Biotech or Pharmaceutical experience preferred.
    • Proficiency with ERP / MRP systems.
    • Practical knowledge of MRP, database management, inventory planning and forecasting, and product structures.
