PUBLIC RELATIONS COORDINATOR

The PUBLIC RELATIONS COORDINATOR is responsible for the development and distribution of public relations efforts for multiple healthcare brands within MJH Life Sciences. This role will be a go-to source for PR pitches, press releases, and reporting on results to maximize efforts. As part of a team, the PR Coordinator will require excellent writing and communication skills, be able to manage requests from all levels of the organization and be organized and efficient in balancing workload.

Responsibilities:

• Work regularly with all departments to create effective communication and PR plans
• Create and distribute pitches to various media outlets
• Secure placements with key industry contacts
• Draft and develop press releases, media pitches and other press material
• Utilize BusinessWire to post releases and Cision to compile press lists
• Post to corporate and brand social media accounts
• Oversee the PR metrics and find trends to maximize PR coverage
• Build relationships and meets with stakeholders regularly
• Participate in client calls
• Partner with marketing to develop promotional campaigns, speaking opportunities and thought leadership initiatives
• Conduct extensive media research for all brands
• Actively monitors media for mentions of company

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Marketing or related fields.
• 1-2 years of public relations experience
• Excellent PR writing skills
• Solid understanding of the media
• Healthcare media experience a plus
