    Job Description

    OVERVIEW

    OUTCOMES COORDINATORS have a critical service-focused role within the Accredited Education Division.  They are tasked with collecting, analyzing, and assembling data (exam scores, audience response information, evaluation summaries, testimonials, and other feedback) from clinicians who participate in certified continuing education (CE) activities.  Outcomes Coordinators prepare reports that showcase the results of each activity and these reports, in turn, are submitted to external organizations who fund the education. Outcomes Coordinators are also involved in special research projects, abstract development, writing articles, and developing oral and written presentations to the CE industry. This in-office position in our Cranbury, NJ campus, requires flexibility, integrity, creativity, organization, and strong interpersonal skills.

    What a Typical Day is Like for an Outcomes Coordinator:

    • Participating in project team kick-off meetings, where the background information of activities is provided along with reporting deadlines.
    • Using strict attention to detail and solid creative writing skills to collect, analyze, and assemble data including data entry for live and online activities.
    • Demonstrating positive communication skills, respect for others, and teamwork across departments to coordinate outcomes report completion – from preparation to approval and final submission.
    • Leveraging strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail to maintain outcomes tracking status reports in Salesforce (used to ensure on-time report delivery).
    • Collaborating with colleagues in Medical Affairs to collect scientific and clinical data used in each outcomes report.

    What Skills Does an Outcomes Coordinator Need?

    • A strong work-ethic and strict attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
    • A positive attitude, passion for winning, and willingness to be part of a high-functioning outcomes business unit that juggles multiple report deliverables on a consistent basis.
    • The ability to analyze and interpret audience response data, either paper or electronic, collected during educational activities. Analyses to be provided in the form of a written report based on expectations and objectives outlined in submitted educational grants.
    • An intermediate to advanced competency with MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts/graphs), Word (style guides, formatting, templates), PowerPoint (audio/video embedding, master slides), and Adobe Acrobat Writer (add/delete pages, edit content).
    • Working knowledge of the basic types of statistical analyses (e.g., chi-square, T-test, and Cohen’s D/effect sizes).
    • Experience with presenting data (oral and written presentations) and preparing scientific abstracts.
    • Working knowledge of the ACCME, ANCC, and/or ACPE guidelines and Standards of Commercial Support℠ (preferred).

    These skills are recommended for an Outcomes Coordinator to be able to successfully execute the tasks/goals below.

    Goals for First Year:

    • Independently manage outcomes reporting deliverables (from assembly to summarization, finalization, approval, and submission).
    • Consistently maintain outcomes reporting timelines in Salesforce trackers (from kick-off through report assembly, summarization, finalization, approval, and submission).
    • Prepare (with assistance from Supervisor or an Outcomes Manager) 2 outcomes-related abstracts for submission to the Alliance, European CME Forum, or an invited, external outcomes showcase.
    • Determine 1 outcomes reporting innovation that will streamline reporting or improve the way results are presented.
