    BOOKING COORDINATOR POSITION OVERVIEW:

    The Booking Coordinator is a part time role that works closely with the local MKTG event team to schedule Spirit sampling events at restaurants, bars and retail accounts.  This role will require you to navigate the logistics of event booking while educating our business partners on the benefits of hosting an event at their account. Booking Coordinators are expected to deliver premium service and maintain a high level of professionalism. As a representative of MKTG, you will be required to attend one event per week to help develop a rapport with our business partners and establish a relationship for future bookings. 

    As a MKTG Booking Coordinator you will work closely with your local manager to create a calendar for on & off-premise events.  One of your primary responsibilities will be calling account contacts to schedule events (dates & times) with brand & programming recommendations based in historical data.  Booking Coordinators will be provided with an account list, contact names and phone numbers, program standards, call scripts, and strategic guidance for scheduling events across multiple brands and months. Booking Coordinators will often be scheduling events 45- 60 days out.

    Once dates and times have been confirmed, the Booking Coordinator will add the event details into MKTG's digital booking & staffing platform, BookedOut, and forward the account a confirmation / reminder email along with the digital toolkit (where legal).

    PERFORMANCE FOR THIS ROLE IS MEASURED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING:

    • Creating event calendars that align with brand activation strategies
    • Using historical brand & market data to schedule event dates & times that maximize event performance
    • Meeting or exceeding MKTG's KPI goals (Consumers Reached, Bottle Sales, etc.)

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of MKTG business operations as well as all Diageo brands represented by MKTG
    • Plan an event calendar by month, by brand/program, by account
    • Provide a positive, personalized customer service experience by dealing efficiently and politely with all telephone, email, and “in person” inquiries
    • Forward account confirmation details and digital toolkits to account contacts post bookings
    • Once trained, enter all events into the Bookedout platform to be staffed by the local Manager
    • Attend 4 events per month
    • Attend training sessions and team meetings as required

    REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to remain professional and courteous with business partners at all times
    • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task efficiently
    • Ability to work within a cross-functional team
    • Must have proficient computer skills; familiarity with Excel, digital CRMs preferred
    • Confident, self-motivated and able to demonstrate a passionate commitment to the business
    • Capable of addressing escalations with a sense of immediacy
    • Ability to prioritize work assignments, critical tasks and routine work appropriately
    • Previous Customer Service experience highly preferred

    FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE: SUBJECT TO CHANGE BASED ON CLIENT NEEDS

    • 11:00am - 3:00pm
    • 12:00pm - 4:00pm
    • 1:00pm - 5:00pm

    The Hourly rate ranges between $18/20/hr
