Solvet is seeking experienced Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) for a full-time opportunity supporting a federal healthcare facility in South Carolina. This role offers consistent hours, multiple shift options, and the opportunity to support high-quality care for a diverse patient population.

Position Details

• Location: Columbia, SC

• Schedule:

  • Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • Evening Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

  • Night Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
    

• Days: Monday–Friday + weekends/holidays as needed
  

Scope of Work

MLTs will function as generalists and perform testing across all major lab departments:

• Chemistry

• Hematology

• Blood Bank

• Urinalysis

• Microbiology
  

Responsibilities include:

• Performing and verifying lab tests with accuracy

• Reporting critical values and results

• Maintaining quality control and compliance standards

• Supporting specimen collection and processing

• Utilizing VA systems (VISTA/EHR) for documentation

Qualifications Required:

• MLT Certification (ASCP or AMT)

• Minimum 2 years of generalist experience

• Associate’s degree in:

  • Medical Laboratory Science

  • Clinical Laboratory Science

  • Medical Technology or related field
    

• Completion of clinical training program

• Ability to work across all lab departments
