    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Providing accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department
    • Generate and distribute invoices and statements to customers in a timely manner
    • Collect, verify, and record customer payments
    • Regularly reviews aging report to identify accounts that are at risk for delayed or non-payment. Monitors customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payment, overpayment, and other irregularities. Identifies accounts that are near or past due and communicates exceptions to management per company guidelines.
    • Resolve AR discrepancies
    • Typing accurately, preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records in a timely manner
    • Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements. Apply customer deposits as appropriate
    • Coordinating with Accounts Payable Specialist on paying vendors
    • Working with vendors and customers, and participating in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes to ensure all relevant data has been captured in the appropriate time period
    • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies to update and maintain account information.
    • Validating data against system reports, and verifying that controls and processes have been followed
    • Assisting payroll specialist for the bi-weekly transmission of payroll to ADP and verification of ADP edit reports to ensure employee payroll checks are accurate and complete.
    • Perform other payroll and accounting functions/needs as they arise.
    • Assist accounting team with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end task

    Other duties as assigned.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Frequently required to sit and use hands/fingers to handle, feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. Occasionally

    required to stand, walk and reach with arms and hands. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Moderate to extreme exposure to noise during busy days

    HOURS OF WORK AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    Day -- as scheduled

    Ability to work during business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Must obtain a Nevada State Agent badge and 21 years of age or older. High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalence Certificate. College level accounting coursework or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred 1-year accounting experience or other applicable work experience Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point Must be highly proficient in QuickBooks ADP and cash counting experience preferred Ability to use 10-key by touch Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks Excellent Customer Service and communication skills Basic understanding of general accounting practices and procedures Customer invoicing, preferably inventory-related invoicing
