Digital Outreach Specialist – Austin, TX

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Digital Outreach Specialist will be responsible for extensive outreach via email campaigns, social media, text campaigns, A/B Testing, marketing collateral, fact sheets, creating new publications as needed, etc. This individual will be a key contributor in implementing the outreach strategy for the promotion of the programs and services provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, cultivate and enhance on- and off-line channels and strategies to increase engagement with targeted media and outlets
• Recommend and implement media strategies for services provided, including messaging, talking points, campaigns, positioning and dissemination channels
• Gather and disseminate timely information to media and staff
• Run A/B tests on subject lines and email copy
• Create effective email pitches to compel industry influencers to include a citation and/or link in previously created pieces of content or publish an article, guest blog, and opinion piece
• Manage a large network of contacts
• Monitor and report the success of your outreach efforts
• Provide input on individual pieces of content and help improve the overall content marketing strategy

Requirements:

• 2 – 5 years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, SEO, social media, PR, or related field

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• General Internet proficiency

• Ability to manage large lists in Excel

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
