    HR GENERALIST - HYBRID ROLE

    LOS ANGELES BASED CANDIDATES (SPANISH SPEAKING)

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Establishes and maintains a great understanding of our client organizations, in the interest of building and maintaining their HR service needs

    • Regularly coach business leaders on HR policies, recommendations, and best practice solutions that affect their specific work places

    • Create and maintain Employee Handbooks, as needed for MMC clients

    • New Account Implementation assistance

    • Aids with I-9 questions & reviews

    • Have knowledge of employee classifications

    • Informed on the latest Covid-19 law's and regulations specific to California

    • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

    • Provide guidance and assistance on employee relations, conflict resolution, performance and compensation management, harassment investigations, counseling, PIPs, general employee meetings

    • Unemployment, Disability, VOE claims processing

    • Leave of Absence – must be able to assist LOA department with managing claims

    • New Hire Compliance – documentation assistance and review for client employees

    • Willing to occasionally do client on site visits (not too often, but flexibility to do so)

    • Employee Separations – must be well versed in final pay guidelines to assist payroll with final checks and documentation process

    • Collaborate with other HR and various MMChr department team members to maintain positive client interactions and meet service deadlines

    • Miscellaneous HR administrative and consultative duties

    GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • A flexible, up-beat, “can do" attitude. You will be joining a great team dynamic and the ability to be engaged and eager to learn and assist is a must

    • Team player but also self-starter with ability to proactively manage client HR service expectations

    • At least 3 years progressive HR experience

    • Solid HR knowledge base and ability to apply knowledge across various business environments

    • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems, Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping

    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with internal MMChr departments

    • Ability to develop, maintain positive client relationships and deliver consistent quality service

    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, allowing positive communication through all levels of an organization

    • Superb problem solving skills with the ability to asses a situation beyond the surface level and develop successful resolutions for all parties

    • Flexibility to occasionally make client on-site visits, if needed (within Greater Los Angeles area)

    • Broad knowledge of CA employment laws and desire to continuously be up-to-date on employer laws and compliance

    • PHR, SHRM-CP or other HR related credential is a plus, but not required
