    Job Description

    We are looking for an Construction Finance Manager to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities and to join our financial management team. The ideal candidate confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; and preparing special reports. Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and defining accounting policies and procedures. The construction account manager reports to company management (CEO, VP and fractional CFO) and works with employees in the accounting department including project managers, and other departments as needed.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work cross functionally within the company to communicate with management and all members of project management.

    • Work closely with the APM and buyout team to ensure alignment on costs and expenditure

    • Maintains accounting controls by reinforcing accounting policies and procedures, helps the team members prepare forms if needed

    • Accurately track all expenses, liabilities and projected costs

    • Oversee vendor payments

    • Prepare and review financial statements

    • Manage an assigned project portfolio and its budgets

    • Work as a partner to the many members of the project management team to ensure communication and items are being sent over and processed properly.

    • Review AIA construction/architectural invoices (G703) for accuracy prior to release

    • Conduct monthly analysis to review project health and track profitability by maintaining the set budget for each part of the construction project

    • Utilize the same tasks across all sister companies

    CAPABILITIES

    • Ability to work with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas

    • Produce financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.

    • Demonstrates a strong understanding of financial management principles and applies this knowledge to effectively manage the operational activities of the business

    • Develop strategies that work to minimize financial risk

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance

    • QuickBooks experience is a must
