The Artisan Bread Baker is responsible for all aspects of production of MOM's organic bread and sweets, including preparing dough, shaping and/or portioning, and baking to perfection. They are also responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the bakery area. Responsibilities: -Utilize provided recipes to prepare batches of different bread doughs, including weighing, combining by hand, turning by hand, and storing appropriately -Portion and shape dough by hand, to provided weight and shape specs -Proof and bake shaped/panned bread to prescribed size and doneness -Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and stock levels in the bakery area -Prepare cookies, pretzels, and other baked goods as needed, including mixing, portioning and baking -Performing opening and closing duties as described in shift checklists -Communicate ordering, supply, or ingredient needs with the manager in a timely fashion -Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: -1+ year experience in related field -Experience reading/executing recipes, especially weighing and measuring -Excellent attention to detail, especially with communication (written and verbal) and meeting deadlines -Ability to prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage unexpected demands -Dependable, follows instructions and takes initiative to solve problems -Self-motivated and able to work independently -Experience in a fast-paced work environment -Interest in company culture and desire to grow in the field -Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand longer hours
