Monument Bower Lodge is hiring for Entry Level and Experienced Servers!

Position Type: Full time/Part Time

Job Description: At Monument Bower Lodge, we are looking for an entry-level server who will be responsible for taking orders from and serving food to customers. Duties will mostly include taking food and drink orders and writing them down on order slips, and ensuring that tables are served properly and that all payments are collected. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with bussers, cooks, and other staff. Previous work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is greatly desired.

Performance Expectations :

• Welcome guests and assist guests with a friendly smile while adhering to our guest guidelines.
• Exceptional hosting of all guests and exceptional customer service
• Setting up server/bussing station pre-shift according to the opening task list
• Bussing, bar backing, or assisting the Lead FOH, bartenders, or Restaurant Managers when needed based on the shift, maintaining a clean work environment.
• Familiar with cashiering or willingness to learn point of sales systems (POS).
• Assist in cashiering/taking payments from guests. Understanding/training of our POS system. Must have basic computer knowledge.
• Keep organized! FOH staff will need to make sure all utensils, dishware, silverware, and glassware are polished and properly put back and clean.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining building assets, i.e. rugs, bathroom appliances, etc.
• Make coffee for guests and set up the coffee station, snacks, beverages, and water station
• Assist the culinary team by taking orders at our POS and accepting transactions
• Serving and expediting dishes to the guest.
• Set up cleaning stations in the kitchen, bus tables and dishwashing.
• Mix and pour alcoholic beverages as needed
• Checking IDs and adhering to DABS guidelines
• Deep clean dining room by wiping down tables, bar stools, sweeping, mopping, etc.
• Must adhere to the specific opening/closing/and side task lists for each shift
• Adhere to Bower Lodge Policy and Procedures
• Reports directly to the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager
• Clean, tidy appearance and excellent hygiene
• Team player!
• Very punctual.
• Flexible Schedule: Mornings/Evenings/Weekends
• Other duties as assigned based on FOH I, FOH II and FOH III

Work Requirements:

• Pass a background if serving alcohol per DABS requirements.
• Entry-level FOH I position, no experience required, but preferred (will require more training)
• FOH Level II: 1 - 2 years of experience, guest service or fine dining.
• F OH III: 2-3 years of private club experience, guest service or fine dining
• Current Utah Food Handlers Permit
• Current Sips & Tips Certification
• Age 21+ preferred, but open to younger applicants
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable Transportation

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to continually bend, kneel, and reach
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, consistently.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8+ hours)

Work Environment: Generally, in an indoor setting with occasional exposure to outdoor environment. While performing duties of this job, the employee will be frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions or cold weather. Working in a potential slippery environment.
