Moon Valley Nursery, Inc., Arizona's largest tree and plant nurseries, is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing organization. We are expanding our company and building new locations in California. We need a technically strong staff accountant who can contribute to the growth of the company. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of duties and will be reporting directly to the Assistant Controller. Job Responsibilities As a Staff Accountant you will have the opportunity to have hands on experience in many different realms of our accounting process. This is a great opportunity to grow within our company. Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include: - Sales Accounting - entering and reconciling sales daily. Work closely with our accounting team to confirm all payments are received. - Reconciliation - work with our accounting team to complete reconciliations for month- end, quarter-end, and year-end close. - Assist in completing different projects - Excel Modeling and Report Building Job Requirements To quality as a Staff Accountant you must be a self-starter with the ability to adapt to change easily. Additional requirements of the Staff Accountant include: - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting or finance - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills-Microsoft 2010 Expert - Certified preferred - Strong communication and organizational skills
