    Summary of Job Responsibilities:

    Under general supervision, the Finance Assistant will provide assistance and support directly to the Executive Vice President of Finance. Additionally, under general supervision the Information Technology (I.T.), Security Risk Technician support the Bank’s I.T. needs and coordinates efforts and services with our managed service provider.

    Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

    • Finance (for Mountain View Bank of Commerce and our sister bank Nebraska Bank of Commerce):
    • Ensure the Bank is prepared for all internal and external audits.
    • Pull reports daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually as directed by the EVP of Finance.
    • Maintains the bank’s property tax, personal property tax and income tax accounts to ensure prompt and proper
    • payment.
    • Preparation of monthly reporting for the Bank’s Board and Asset Liability Committee meetings.
    • Process semi-weekly Accounts Payable items and track all necessary information.
    • Assist with coordinating the Bank’s Interest Rate Risk analysis and reporting requirements.
    • Provide annual tax reporting for all vendors.
    • Assist the EVP of Finance with any audits, exams, reporting or special projects as needed.
    • May perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
    • Information Technology and Security Risk Technician:
    • Coordinate major outside contracts such as I.T. and Core Services.
    • Perform upgrades, updates or changes related to the above contracts.
    • Execute product updates, new product rollouts as appropriate or assigned.
    • Maintain strong vendor management program to include approving new vendors and subsequent reviews as
    • dictated by policy/program.
    • Conduct I.T. and Security Risk Assessments.
    • Provide for physical security of the Bank’s I.T. equipment.
    • Complete security system reviews on a regular basis.
    • Assist the Chief Operating Officer with any audits, exams, reporting or special projects as needed.
    • May perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

    Qualifications and Job Specifications:

    • 2-4 years of proven experience working for a financial service company in the area of Finance and/or I.T..
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting and/or I.T. preferred.
    • Experience with software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and various other accounting systems and
    • core processing systems with the ability to learn and incorporate new technology.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong financial acumen.
    • Exceptional analytical, quantitative and presentation skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks while working accurately and independently, and seeking advice under the
    • appropriate conditions.
    • Extremely organized and detail oriented.
    • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
    • Ability to build and sustain collaborative working relationships with all levels of Bank employees.
    • High standards of professionalism, honesty, ethics, integrity and properly safeguarding and holding sensitive
    • information and materials in confidence.
    • Comply with all requirements, policies and procedures of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and attend all mandatory
    • BSA training as needed for this position. Additionally, required to complete all required compliance and
    • regulatory training, not limited to BSA.

    Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

    • This position will require working from the office a majority of the time and may allow for occasional remote work based on the demands of the specific responsibilities.

    • The environment for this position is non-confined office-type setting that is mostly clean and comfortable. Little discomfort caused by such factors as noise, heat or dust. The incumbent in the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 20 pounds), carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.
