Account Executive Clinical Sales
Company : mProbe is a privately held company with its Oncology Diagnostics division focused on leveraging its Liquid Tissue® platform and enabling methods for the analysis of protein biomarkers in formalin fixed tissue and the development and commercialization of personalized medicine assays supporting cancer drug development and as clinical diagnostic assays. The company has developed a platform of proprietary technologies that make possible the accurate measurement of proteins in formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue, the standard method used to preserve and store biopsies and surgical samples in medical research, clinical trials and pathology testing worldwide. mProbe offers mass spectrometry based proprietary clinical pathology assays that is offered through its’ CAP accredited, CLIA-certified diagnostic laboratory services.
Position : The Account Executive Clinical Sales will be responsible for maintaining and growing existing client business and in developing new relationships with academic institutions and community oncology practices. S/he will have a lead role in driving the sales strategies and in growing the Company’s clinical business to generate revenue. This will also be responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly and yearly sales quotas and provide customer feedback to improve products and offerings to best meet market demands.
The Company’s corporate headquarter is located in California; however, this position is based in Florida
Key responsibilities:
- Account development:
- Identify and cultivate targeted clients, follow up on prospects, maintain ongoing contacts with new and existing accounts, develop business proposals, lead proposal/quotation drafting.
- Assume primary responsibility for revenue projections, updates, and internal planning and coordination with clinical operations and general management.
- Sales:
- Create contacts and interest with senior academic investigators, community oncology practitioners and program managers.
- Organize web-based and in-person customer visits, seminars, and proposal development meetings.
- Coordinate with personnel in the company with respect to the appropriate decision makers and support personnel at the account.
- Network:
- Maintain and leverage existing strategic relations to expand business network.
- Manage customer relations/satisfaction throughout collaboration including site visits.
- Attend and represent mProbe at selected industry meetings and conferences.
Specifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific or technical discipline
- Highly knowledgeable in oncology based molecular diagnostics
- Advanced knowledge of patient care, use of diagnostic tests within the U.S. clinical market, reimbursement systems governing clinical assays - especially CLIA laboratory services.
- 5+ years successful sales/business development experience in complex selling environment
- Prior success as lead manager in selling oncology tests to community/academic oncologists.
- Ability and willingness to travel 50-75% of the time
- Excellent project management and negotiation skills and experience
- Analytical ability to assess business opportunities and initiative to implement project plans.
