  • Responsibilities

    Manages waste by-product contracts at client locations. Ensures that all duties are performed in accordance to applicable environmental, health and safety and customer rules and regulations.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Ensures that contract and/or subcontract requirements are being met and/or exceeded. a. Communicates any discrepancies or changes to clients, subcontractors and supervisors.
    2. Coordinates Client “in-plant’ waste by-product management systems.
    3. Samples and prepares applicable waste by-product material for analysis.
    4. Identifies and characterizes waste by-product materials.
    5. Prepares by-product containers for DOT shipment, as well as prepares manifests for all shipments of applicable by-product.
    6. Coordinates all transportation of by-product for third party disposal.
    7. Coordinates procurement of necessary by-product containers.
    8. Track all documentation pertaining to shipping, volumes, accumulation and inspections.
    9. Evaluates by-products for recycling/pollution prevention opportunities.
    10. Develops, implements, maintains and analyzes recycling/pollution prevention proposals
    11. Build and maintain good relationships with customers and employees.
    12. Provide a safe work environment for all employees.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field, preferred.

    2. 4+ years of experience in similar environment.

    3. 3+ years of Supervisory capacity with direct responsibility for human relations issues.

    4. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw vivid conclusions.

    5. Proficiency with all MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Power Point).

    6. Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.

    7. Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) desired.

    8. Professional Engineer (PE) registration desired.
