    Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a full-time experienced CAD designer with knowledge of architectural building systems and construction detailing to support our rapidly growing Architecture Team. This person will perform tasks related to the practice of architecture on multiple types of building types and facilities across the country.     Wilson & Company is seeking an experienced CAD designer to support the design and coordination of a wide variety of project types. The position requires experience in the development of construction documents, and specialized CAD / BIM software. The candidate will be responsible for supporting projects and associated efforts on an interesting and diverse mix of educational, industrial, municipal, and commercial projects. Familiarity with a wide variety of architectural building construction materials and systems is needed. An understanding of related codes, and experience with theory and practice of construction technology is highly encouraged.

    Desired Candidate Attributes:

    • Proficiency in Revit is required.
    • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam and BIM is also desired.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
    • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
    • Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
    • Enjoys problem solving and creative thinking daily.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with team members.
    • Ability to assist staff with improving CAD/BIM skillsets.
    • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary construction documents.
    • Ability to create / maintain technical detail library and standards.
    • Current Autodesk Certification is a plus.

    Required Skills

    • Coordinate and collaborate with project team staff to develop a complete and accurate set of construction drawings.
    • Produce high-quality work products and follow rigid quality control procedures.
    • Assist other CAD Users with updating and maintaining a library of standard details.
    • Assist other CAD Users in identifying and implementing new CAD practices as software and technology change.
    • Apply and follow either client-owned or client-specified CAD standards.
    • Provide leadership to deliver complete drawings within project budget and schedule.
    • Maintain good familiarity with industry standards and methods.
    • Develop initial architectural layouts, create design drawings for client review, and coordinate rendering creation for public or design meetings.
    • Review preliminary sketches, drawings, specifications, and other architectural data received from architects to ensure that they conform to design concepts
    • Facilitate the preparation and updates to architectural drawing packages that have completed quality control reviews, and to properly document this process for compliance with the quality control requirements.
    • Assemble plan sets through coordination with multiple engineering disciplines and associated reference files.

    Required Experience

    • Minimum of an associate degree in applied science or architectural drafting.
    • A minimum of 12 years of CAD design experience in the architectural industry.
    • Autodesk Revit proficiency required – emphasis on construction documents and leveraging CAD/BIM tools during programming, schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
    • Strong working experience with Bluebeam Revu and Bluebeam Studio.
    • Familiarity with other design platforms and applications (MicroStation, Enscape, BIM 360, Autodesk AutoCAD, ProjectWise, etc.) is a plus.
    • Experience developing CAD standards and procedures for a multi-user environment

    Salary Range: $69,000.00 - $121,000.00
