THE REQUIREMENTS

People from a variety of technology sector backgrounds may be a good fit for this role, including DevOps, software development, hardware development, supply chain or others. The key talent is an ability to monitor a complex and constantly evolving array of data points in order to report out on progress, financials, performance, etc. In addition, to be a good fit for the Senior BI Analyst opportunity, you will have: 

• Excellent analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify important data, compile it from multiple sources, and glean valuable information from it.
• Proven data visualization skills, with the ability to present complex technical data and information in ways that are relevant to different non-technical audiences.
• 3 to 5 years of technology industry experience, ideally including data centers. Knowledge of cloud solutions, colocation, interconnection and scale would be ideal.
• Solid financial knowledge.
• Project management savvy.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to create systems and tools.
• A strategic mindset along with a hands-on approach.
• innovation and creativity.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and motivate others.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

Our preference is that you are based in the greater Dallas area, but we will consider highly qualified candidates based anywhere in the U.S., as long as you are willing and able to travel to Dallas on occasion.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will join a team that supports Digital Realty's platform, services and solutions. This includes resources in innovation, product management, sales engineering and other areas.

You will invest the majority of your time in supporting PlatformDIGITAL, which emphasizes our ability to provide a complete portfolio of highly responsive data center solutions. PlatformDIGITAL is purpose-built to enable the ever-changing data, control and networking demands of global enterprises. It helps clients scale up while minimizing complexity, cost and risk.

The platform touches on just about all areas of our company, and you will take point on ensuring we communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders. In particular, you will focus on ensuring consistent and regular messaging to help ensure alignment across the groups.

Initially you'll need to become very familiar with the platform and the work of the CTO office in order to see the value from multiple lenses. This will include sitting in on conference calls, attending webinars and doing other research. From there you will start to develop a big-picture understanding, including identifying key data points.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Tracking and reporting efforts to implement the PlatformDIGITAL approach, which requires unification across functional areas.
• Elevating the material facts, understanding the expectations of stakeholders, and developing metrics to track those.
• Providing insight that helps us structure programs effectively, ensure delivery to expectations and control finances.

Deliverables may include dashboards, regular reporting, ad hoc analyses, and more.
