TPC Southwind is a private par-70, 7,244-yard layout located in the gated community of Southwind in Southeast Memphis, Tennessee. TPC Southwind is home of the world golf championship FedEx St. Jude Invitational. TPC Southwind houses a modern-style, 33,000 square-foot clubhouse featuring rich wood furnishings and creates an inviting backdrop for socializing, private events, or corporate entertainment.

TPC SOUTHWIND is currently seeking a full-time SOUS CHEF to assist in leading our Food & Beverage team. This management position is responsible for the food preparation and presentation of all ala carte service, banquet and special events.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Effective communication with the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage to attain highest member/guest satisfaction
• Create various menu items and daily specials for a la carte and special menus and overall presentation of product for guest satisfaction
• Maintain quality of food preparation and presentation through active participation in all aspects of kitchen production from creation to planning to plating
• Train and supervise other culinary team members in preparing menu items according to recipe cards and plating specifications
• Food cost and inventory controls

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

• 3 years of culinary experience, culinary degree preferred
• Self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Creative culinary skills and innovative thinking required
• Knowledge of the Back of House operations and ability to supervise others
• Ability to read and follow menus and recipes
• Must be team oriented and able to adapt to changes in work demands
• Computer proficiency in ordering, inventory and tracking systems
• Strong a la carte background preferred
• Private Club experience a plus
