    POSITION: Sr. Business Systems Analyst, Global Customer Portal and APIs

    LOCATION: Dallas, TX (We will consider providing relocation assistance for candidates willing to relocate to Dallas)

     

    OPPORTUNITY SNAPSHOT

    The BSA will be responsible for interacting with business stakeholders and collecting requirements and translating to technical requirements support rollout of the Global Customer Portal, APIs and Microservices. The ideal candidate will have the ability to conceptualize abstract business goals and ideas and convert them into formal documentation including written use cases, workflow diagrams, data flow diagrams. Previous software application development experience in Front End Website design and Development and strong working knowledge of application development life cycle is also important.

    Documentation developed by the Senior BSA will be used as the foundation for tasks assigned to software application developers using JIRA. Candidate must be able to clearly communicate in both business and technology terms in a variety of formats. Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills are essential. The position will need to work with all levels of the organization.

     

    THE REQUIREMENTS

    • 10+ years as Business Systems Analyst with expertise in Customer facing websites, Customer Portals across desktop and mobile platforms
    • Knowledge of Front-end Development and JavaScript frameworks such as React.JS, Next.JS, Gatsby, Angular.JS.
    • Knowledge of Microservices Architecture and Rest API’s and consumption
    • Knowledge of content management systems and/or relevant web applications used for web production. Headless CMS experience is highly desired.
    • Good level knowledge in using Jira
    • Proven track record for product delivery and launch
    • High-integrity, team player with demonstrated collaboration skills
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • Exceptional analytical, detail-oriented problem-solving skills; excellent follow-up skills required
    • Ability to tackle issues with a sense of urgency while maintaining professionalism and accuracy
    • Strong interpersonal skills for working with multiple departments, subject matter experts, and colleagues that are geographically dispersed
    • Self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong focus on understanding customer needs
    • BS/MS in Computer Science or Information Systems

     

     

    THE ROLE

    • Partner with the business to gather requirements, assist in story writing, and manage/groom the backlog.
    • Work with stakeholders to create and organize product backlogs
    • Work in an agile environment following scrum development processes
    • Work with cross-functional teams to drive site enhancements
    • Responsible for gathering requirements and translating to technical specifications for desktop and mobile customer facing websites
    • Partner with API layer team to ensure front end requirements are met
    • Participate in project planning, scheduling and release forecasting
    • Partner with external consulting company/vendor resources
    • Work with product architects, designers and customers to define and refine the user experience
    • Develop and execute successful go to market plans including launch planning and necessary collateral
    • Track product usage, success, issues, and customer feedback
    • Participates in trouble shooting for day-to-day issues and ongoing maintenance with portal solutions and reporting. Makes recommendations as needed to ensure reliability of the systems and finds innovative solutions if problems should occur
    • Participates in testing and QA activities
    • Closely work with domain/solution architects to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of the front end (UI) for the Customer Portal.
    • Interact with External B2B customers of Digital Realty and collect various functional requirements
    • Ability to work with developers in explaining requirements and test solution before implementing in production.
    • Contribute to business process re-engineering, and change management
