    JOB DESCRIPTION – PROCESS MANAGER

    LEAR CORP – HEBRON, OH PLANT

    TITLE:  Process Manger (Supervises others)

    LOCATION:  Hebron (Salaried Position)  

    REPORTS TO:   Plant Manager

     

    BASIC FUNCTION

    Consistently monitors, analyzes, and up-grades the process methodology. Optimizing equipment, tooling, materials, and technology to their fullest potential. Directs and oversees the entire Process Department. Aids in the full production of a market competitive, quality product.

    Bachelors degree in technical field

    Five years experience in molded polyurethanes

    5. Sound understanding of urethane chemistry, emphasis on high resilient foam (flexible foam) formulations
    6. Strong statistical background

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    1. Continuously critique, through data collection, the entire manufacturing process
    2. Recommend and track process improvement projects specific to equipment, materials and tooling based on quantifiable data.
    3. Facilitate the Process Team to effectively work with production supervisors, maintenance, tooling supervisor, and other        
    4. Responsible for subordinate safety compliance and training; functions as role model relative to safety and environmental issues.
    5. Coordinate all product samples submissions, capability runs and material trials

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    1. Ability to carry/lift up to 75 lbs.
    2. Ability to maintain a consistent workload that involves heavy manual labor.
    3. Ability to maintain alertness and acuity that is not typically impaired by any medication, diet, or physical condition.
    4. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, sit and maneuver in confined spaces.
    5. Ability to wear respirators in environments that may expose you to chemicals, fumes, etc.
    6. Ability to maintain workloads that may include travel to a variety of states for days or weeks, and daily timeframes that could exceed the typical 8-hour shift.
