    HOLLY HUNT is a sales and service organization, as well as designer and maker of high-end interior design furniture, lighting, textiles, leather, and rugs. HOLLY HUNT’S “to the trade” customers are interior designers and architects. 85 to 90 percent of business revenue is generated from residential purchases, while 10 to 15 percent is generated from contract, corporate or hospitality purchases.

    POSITION PROFILE

    The Capacity Planner is the main liaison between HOLLY HUNT and our workrooms. Through constant contact, the CP will manage workroom performance and capacity. Communicating pro-actively with the supply chain leadership to resolve overall issues and help improve workroom performance.

     

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process with workrooms for the purchasing of textiles.
    • Purchase orders in Navision and schedule the orders based on published lead times.
    • Review the Load and Capacity weekly with each workroom to determine a plan to meet the order volume and Estimated Completion Dates (ECDs).
    • Understand how workrooms plan and manage their capacity based on the load. (Labor flexing, Cross Training, Hiring, etc.).
    • Manage Dual Sourcing of products as required.
    • Develop and maintain a master production schedule for each workroom
    • Manage on-time completion by maintaining accuracy of workroom ECD. Communicate any changes to the ECD to Client Services.
    • Process order completions and manage getting product shipped from workroom and invoices paid when necessary.
    • Track workroom performance by measuring Manufacturing On Time, Lead Times, Capacity, Quote Turnaround Time and Quality. When performance metrics are not met, work with the workrooms on solutions to meet metrics.
    • Main point of contact for the workrooms, responsible for maintaining and managing the business relationship. This includes:
      • Manage the daily/weekly contact with the workroom
      • Update the workroom scorecard and communicate performance metrics
      • Develop corrective action when metrics are not met
      • Understand workroom business model and form a strategy around the relationship
    • Manage frame inventory levels to ensure component parts are ordered and delivered on time to meet the workroom requirements.
    • Provide order forecasts to workroom so that they can plan for future production volumes.
    • Drive workroom process improvements between HH and the workroom to allow for more efficient, consistent and value added business transactions.

    Required Skills

    •  Bachelor’s Degree required, degree in Supply Chain or related discipline preferred
    •  2-5 Years of experience in Capacity Planning or related field

    Required Experience

    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP a plus
    • High sense of urgency and strong communication skills
    • Experience with textiles is a plus
